Q&A

Produkt

Does the device have a filter? How often does it need to be replaced?

The filter material is specially developed activated carbon that absorbs odors that can occur during the drying process. This prevents any unpleasant smell from entering the room.

The recommended replacement interval for the filter is between four and seven months. The filter's lifespan depends on the type of materials being dried. For example, regularly drying strongly odorous seafood such as squid or shrimp, or already heavily decaying food scraps, may shorten the filter's lifespan accordingly. However, we advise our customers to gain their own experience with it. Our experience has shown that the mentioned replacement interval is conservatively estimated.

Can the product be operated outdoors?

The device is intended for indoor use. Outdoor use is not recommended, as it is an electrical device which, for safety reasons, should not be exposed to weather phenomena such as rain.

What kind of waste can be given into the device for drying?

There are no moving parts such as rotating blades installed in the device, which could break or wear out quickly if filled incorrectly.
Therefore, you can put all organic food waste and leftovers into the device with total freedom of mind. This includes, for example but not exclusively, rice, pasta, meat, fish, vegetable and fruit leftovers, fish bones or egg shells and mussel shells. Even toothpicks and wooden chop sticks do not damage the device and do not affect the drying performance negatively.

We want you to love your device and be happy with it for as long as possible.

Can the kitchen waste be used as organic fertilizer after drying?

Absolutely!

Dried kitchen waste no longer carries any unpleasantness but is comparable to vegetable chips or dried leaves.

Therefore, they are usually easy to crush with bare fingers into small pieces of about 2-3 cm. Mixed with soil and allowed to stand briefly, it results in a highly growth-promoting substrate that gives vegetable and fruit plants wonderful growth and delicious fruits (and, of course, the same applies to all other plants, too). The good thing about it: You know exactly what's inside your fertilizer! You can find the detailed instructions in the user manual.

What noise level does the organic waste dryer emit during operation?

The device operates at a whisper-quiet 36dB. There are no rotating blades; the kitchen waste is gently dried but not shredded. This way, we avoid unnecessary noise.

In our view, 36dB can best be described as 'very low background noise.' It's reminiscent of a standing fan running at a medium speed.
As a result, the device can be operated comfortably even during the night."
